Permissible superheating temperatures of condensed materials in thermodecomposition conditions

Abstract: Contact methods of thermal analysis are used to determine the permissible superheating temperature of condensed materials in conditions of thermodecomposition; these methods permit fast heating of the samples to the constant temperature at which isothermal testing is conducted. The results obtained for the limiting thermodecomposition temperatures are given for some polymer and nonpolymer materials, and are compared with literature data; the results indicate satisfactory accuracy of the test method.
