Calculation of statistical-mean cross-section of composite solid propellant system with account for anisotropic distribution of the binder

Abstract:
We propose a further detailization of the flame front of a composite solid propellant system and examine two techniques for calculating the local anisotropic distribution of the binder around the oxidizer particle. The “star patterns” of the net statistical-mean cross-section of the composite solid propellant are obtained. The method developed here can be used to combine the existing King and small-ensemble combustion models.
