Formation of carbon particles of onion structure from ultradisperse diamond

Abstract:
We study the annealing of an ultradisperse diamond phase in vacuum and show that the diamond particles may transform to carbon particles of polyshell structure. These particles are analogs of the fullerene structures and consist of interacting carbon shells that are embedded in one another.
