Dynamic-static compression: Controlling the conditions in containment systems after explosion
S. S. Batsanov All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Physical-Technical and Radiotechnical Measurements, Mendeleevo, Moscow region
Abstract:
Possible methods of retaining the residual pressure after the explosive treatment of materials in containment ampules are considered: these methods employ the compressive stress in the shell of the ampule and (or) use a working medium that undergoes a phase transition with considerable ($\gtrsim$ 10%) volume change on shock compression. The application of the methods is illustrated by specific examples.
