Vibration experiments on ring samples using internal explosive loads

Abstract: A simple method is presented to determine the elastic and damping properties of construction materials (including composites) from the free damping vibrations of ring samples. The process is excited by igniting a detonator cord located on the longitudinal axis of the ring.
