Mathematical simulation of the combustion of slurry fuels

Abstract: A mathematical model is proposed for the combustion of slurry fuels in the quasi-one-dimensional approximation. A numerical simulation is made of combustion of a slurry based on carbon and toluene in a combustion chamber and in a nozzle. The completeness of the combustion of the slurry is found to depend strongly on the excess oxidant ratio $\alpha_{ox}$ with maximum for $\alpha_{ox}\approx1$
