Abstract:
The shock compressibility of CuCl and TlI is measured in the pressure range up to 65 and 153 GPa, respectively. No abnormalities for TlI were found, while in the tests with CuCl a change of slope was observed $\sim$14 GPa, which was interpreted to be due to baric disproportionation of Cu and CuCl$_2$.
