Abstract:
An analysis of the results of numerical calculations of the ignition of an explosive in the condensed phase showed that the energy density necessary to ignite a material can be decreased substantially by changing the parameters of the cyclicity of the heat flux initiating the effect. The effect is explained qualitatively by the appearance of pre-explosion heating, which is generally ignored when the customary analytical methods of the classical theory of ignition are used.
