Asynchronous excitation of unstable combustion

Abstract: Asynchronous excitation of high-frequency combustion in liquid-fuel rocket motors is investigated under the action of periodic variation in the critical cross-sectional area of the nozzle. The mathematical model of a combustion chamber with a nonlinear combustion law is considered by means of asymptotic approximation, and the condition of asynchronous excitation of unstable combustion is obtained.
