Effect of barrel recoil on the velocity of projection of a body by flow of a two-phase medium with bulk density

Abstract: The effect of barrel recoil on the dynamics of throwing of a heavy perforator by an unsteady two-phase (powder-gas) flow is considered. The results of numerical simulation and experimental data presented enable one to estimate the barrel-recoil effect on the muzzle velocity of a perforator versus the initial pore-gas pressure and geometrical parameters of the perforator.
