Abstract:
It was established that increasing the viscosity of diethylene glycol dinitrate by addition of 3% colloxylene leads to a 20% decrease in the critical diameter of high-speed detonation of liquid HE in glass tubes. In thin-walled paper tubes, end on camera streak records show the appearance of a near-wall unreacting layer, whose thickness increases as the front moves along the charge.
