Abstract:
Results of a study dealing with RDX and HMX combustion using a recoil-force transducer have been presented. Self-sustaining and radiation driven combustion regimes have been examined. A high-frequency (over 600 Hz) component in the signal of recoil force during RDX combustion has been detected. The self-sustaining combustion of HMX has been shown to be of an auto-oscillating character at atmospheric pressure. Special features of the resonant response during HMX combustion under the action of simulated laser radiation have been examined.
