Abstract: Together with liquid components (reagents and reaction products), an inert additive, gasifying in the wave of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, forms a foam. We have studied the structure of such a wave. Gasification in the reaction and heating zones is considered. In the latter case, the wave exhibits a special unstability.
