Combustion of the NiO–Al system under gas pressure

Abstract: We have studied the special features and mechanism of combustion of the NiO–Al system under gas pressure. The pressure has been shown to suppress the spread of the initial mixture and to allow the final combustion products to be obtained in a cast form. The chemical composition, combustion limits, and combustion region of cast intermetallides have been found based on the ratio of reactants.
