Abstract:
Results are presented of a numerical study of the process of shock initiation of heterogeneous detonation in a rectangular channel that is partially or completely filled with an inhomogeneous monodisperse monofuel suspension. The effect of the parameters of the initiating shock wave, the disperse mixture, and the spatially inhomogeneous particle distribution in a two-phase medium on the detonatability of a layer of monofuel gas suspension is studied. It is shown that, other conditions being equal, an increase in the degree of inhomogeneity of the spatial distribution of the concentration of the disperse phase reduces the detonatability of the particle layer.
