Critical conditions for high-temperature oxidation of metals

A. D. Margolin, V. S. Posvyanskii

N. N. Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, 117977, Moscow
Abstract: High-temperature heterogeneous chemical reactions with a growing film of reaction products are studied. The dynamics of the film growth over time and the critical conditions for quenching of the combustion are studied.
