Abstract: Results of an experimental study of the gasification of carbon by carbon dioxide in the temperature range 1073–1373 K are presented. The method of transient pulsed kinetics is used to determine the number of active sites of carbon and, hence, the true values of the gasification rate and kinetic constants.
