Abstract:
Results of the three–dimensional simulation of the formation of a shaped–charge jet and the piercing of a steel target by a charge with a star–shaped liner are reported. The calculation results show the efficiency of the three–dimensional numerical technique TRÉK–UP used and the possibility of its applications to direct simulation of the problem considered. In addition, it is shown that one can optimize star–shaped charges significantly with a view to reaching higher efficiency.
