Abstract:
The effect of Stefan flow on the diameter of a moving carbon particle is analyzed. The stable (combustion) and critical (ignition, spontaneous and forced extinction) regimes of heat and mass transfer and the kinetics of parallel chemical reactions (С + О$_2$ $\to$ СО$_2$ and 2С + О$_2$ $\to$ 2СО) are determined with allowance for radiant heat transfer to the cold walls of the reaction device.
