Thermal destruction of solid fuel in a barrel–type pyrolysis reactor

Abstract:
The kinetic parameters of high–temperature pyrolysis of shale are determined in experimental studies. A simple mathematical model is proposed to calculate the dynamics of thermal destruction of solid fuel and to obtain the characteristic time of the process considered. A possible design of a pyrolysis reactor is discussed.
