Temperature field of bedded self–heating of a bank in a silo

Abstract:
The problem of the temperature field in a height–infinite bank of vegetative raw material is solved analytically. Simple formulas for determination of the fire–hazardous temperature and the time for which this temperature is attained are given. Results of the analytical solution agree well with numerical and experimental data.
