Temperature field of cluster self-heating of a bank in a silo

Abstract:
An analytical solution of the unsteady problem of thermal conductivity is constructed for the case of a localized, centrally symmetric distribution of internal heat sources in an infinite medium. Calculation of the temperature increase at the center of the self-heating spot, where it is maximal, is reduced to evaluation of elementary functions. The theoretical results are analyzed.
