Abstract: Ignition of a reactive substance by a high-temperature discharge cavity is analyzed by an asymptotic method. The effect of heat transfer into the lateral surface of the charge and decrease in the intensity of the radiant flux from the cavity on the moment and critical conditions of ignition is studied. Calculation results are compared with available experimental data.
