Mechanism and conditions of hill formation at the crater bottom in an excavation explosion

Abstract: Results of studies of the hill formation conditions at the crater bottom in excavation explosions are presented, and the mechanism of hill formation is explained. The studies were performed by modeling large-scale explosions in a vacuum facility. Hill dimensions versus charge depth are given.
