Shock-induced polarization of materials

Abstract: A new computational method of calculating signals of shock-induced electric polarization of materials is proposed and used to analyze previous experimental results on the shock-induced electric polarization of Plexiglas. Experimental results on the shock-induced electric polarization of granite are presented.
