Abstract: The minimum pressures necessary to ignite vapors of several fluorine-containing monomers and their mixtures were determined in experiments with one type of the igniter, a spiral made of molybdenum–rhenium wire. The energy supplied to the igniter is adjusted to be sufficient for pure tetrafluoroethylene ignition at pressures over 0.6 MPa.
