Abstract:
Principles of contact catalysis of combustion are described. The essence of this process implies that a block catalyst contacting the surface of the burning propellant specimen increases the burning rate and allows controlling combustion at a temperature of 400 to 600$^\circ$C with formation of a large volume of versatile gaseous products, i.e., is the basis for creating low-temperatures gas generators.
Keywords:
catalysis, combustion, energetic solid-propellant formulations, low-temperature gas generators.
