Abstract:
Two reactor models for an approximate description of emission of pollutants at the combustor exit are developed on the basis of three-dimensional numerical simulations of diffusion combustion in a typical combustion chamber. The first model is based on the known idea about a thin flame front (flamelet). The new, simplified version of the model employs the values of equilibrium temperatures in reactors, which simplifies its application for the analysis of combustion of various fuels. In the development of reactor models, special attention is paid to the description of the influence of pressure on NO$_x$ emission. Emissions of NO$_x$ and CO are calculated with the use of several detailed kinetic schemes of methane combustion and two reduced schemes of kerosene combustion with the pressure varied from 1 to 20 atm.
