Abstract:
The parameters of the second phase state of phenylone are refined based on a set of independent measurements of three physical parameters simultaneously in shock-wave experiments (full experiment). It is experimentally confirmed that the reflection method of determining Hugoniots gives correct results only for the cases where the phase state of the material at the shock-wave front remains unchanged. This technique must be supplemented by direct pressure measurements in the test material with a phase transition and methods of determining the start point of the Hugoniot of the second adiabatic phase state ($P_{eSW}$, $U_{eSW}$).
Keywords:
reflection method, modification of the method for phase transition, full experiment, start point of the Hugoniot curve of the second phase, refining the Hugoniot of the second phase.
