Abstract:
The article formulates requirements for a model of an information system for managing information resources to support scientific activities. Requirements describe the characteristics of the system, the list of services, and also characterize the subject area. The ones are due to the information needs of researchers, as well as the need to ensure reliable and long-term storage of information.
As a result of the ones analysis, technological approaches and architectural solutions used to create distributed information systems that provide access to information resources to support scientific activities are identified. The principles of integration of these systems with external sources and the rules for the presentation and transformation of metadata are considered.
A prototype of such a system is described and implemented.
