Abstract: We investigate conditions guaranteering the linear equivalence of piecewise-linear and partitially defined piecewise-linear permutations of the field $F_{2^n}$.
Keywords: nonlinear confusion transform, permutation of a finite field, orthomorphism, involution, $s$-box, piecewise-linear function, adapted spectral-differential method.
