Abstract:
The article is the author’s review of the singularity in which events in the field of AI are developing. A general view is offered on the role of information technology revolutions as expanding the human personality. The current stage of personal expansion is considered, covering the last decade, and especially 2023. The most important and typical socially significant documents are considered, which express concern about the results of the development and application of AI, as well as documents that declare the conditions for a positive development of events: ethical principles, priority directions, requirements and restrictions. It takes a closer look at the pending European AI Act and how different groups are reacting to it. Cultural and historical factors are highlighted that can counteract the negative and catastrophic developments that become possible thanks to AI.
