Abstract:
A problem of the body motion in a gas-liquid wake of the body ahead is considered. The problem is reduced to a plane impact problem of a circular cylinder located in a nonconcentric ideal liquid layer surrounded with unlimited liquid of another density or in liquid with a cylindrical cavity of liquid of another density. The dependencies of a factor of the apparent cylinder mass on nondimensional parameters are obtained.
Keywords:
apparent mass, two-phase flow, hydrodynamics, gas-liquid layer, nonstationary flow, method of plane sections.
