Abstract:
We investigate the substrate influence on the critical behavior of a magnetic monolayer film by the computer simulation method. The substrate performs as a two-dimensional periodic potential. We used a two-dimensional generalization of the Frenkel — Kontorova potential for the substrate. The Ising model is used to simulate a ferromagnetic film. Monte Carlo simulation was carried out using the Wolf cluster algorithm. We obtain the dependence of Curie temperature and critical exponents of the substrate potential period for different values of the substrate potential amplitude.
Keywords:
