Abstract:
The morphology of the Fermi surface and the length of the nesting vector depending on temperature and pressure for the ferromagnetic Ni$_2$MnGa in the austenitic phase are studied using the density functional theory.
The effects of exchange correlation are calculated with varying degrees of accuracy, starting with the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) and then, including the meta-GGA corrections within the framework of strongly constrained and appropriately normed (SCAN).
Keywords:
Fermi surface, nesting vector, phonon softening, Heusler alloy.
