Abstract: The article presents an analysis of the possibility of using the NACE Standard TM0177-2005 standard during accelerated laboratory tests for hydrogen embrittlement and corrosion cracking of rebar rolled products. It is shown that the use of the NACE standard in accelerated laboratory tests of reinforcing steels is impractical, due to the specific size and geometry of the test samples, which do not allow to bring the test conditions closer to real and a significant test time.
