Contemporary problems of continuum mechanics
Collection of papers dedicated to the 90th anniversary of academician Leonid Ivanovich Sedov
Volume Editor: G. G. Chernii Editor in Chief: E. F. Mishchenko
Abstract: The volume is devoted to the 90th birthday of prominent scientist Leonid Ivanovich Sedov. The papers collected in the volume contain investigations of various mechanical problems, mainly in the continuum mechanics. In many cases the themes of the papers are associated with the development of works carried out by L. I. Sedov and envelope the classical hydrodynamics, gas dynamics, construction of new models of the continuum mechanics, wave propagation problems, and other questions.
The volume may be of interest for scientific researchers in the field of mechanics and mathematics as well as for post graduates and students specialized in these sciences.
