Abstract: This volume is dedicated to the memory of Boris Aleksandrovich Sevastyanov, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The papers presented in the volume cover a wide range of topics in the theory of branching processes (properties of Galton–Watson, Bellman–Harris, and Sevastyanov processes, of branching processes in a random environment, and of catalytic branching processes) and random walk theory (including asymptotic expansions of the sojourn time on a half-axis and perturbed random walks). The papers also deal with topical issues of the theory of random allocations, graph theory, and random permutations.
