Error and test signal identification in self-correcting data acquisition systems with a testing instrument

Abstract: A new way is proposed for design of high precision systems where faults are selfcorrected and which consists of elements of limited precision. Redundant data obtained from an additional testing instrument are used. The possibility of fault identification is pointed to in a multi-component system when a reference signal is fed to the testing instrument. Conditions are derived under which test signals can be determined during the measurements.
