Deterministic Systems

Modally-invariant control systems

V. D. Eliseev

Moscow
Abstract: The notion of a modally-invariant control system is introduced; in such a system the dominant motion components (modes), or roots of the characteristic equation may be stringently invariant with all plant parameters. A formalized way to construct such systems is developed for linear multi-dimensional plants with one controller. Structural analogies with a number of well-known systems incorporating reference models are indicated.
