Stochastic Systems

An approximate method for statistical analysis of systems with a random operation time

S. V. Mal'chikov

Moscow
Abstract: An approximate method is suggested for determining the statistic characteristics of phase coordinates in a dynamic system in a finite time. The time when the system ceases operation is assumed random and dependent on the conditions imposed on some phase coordinates. The problem is found related with that of determining the probability that a random process will not reach the boundaries of specified region.
