Pairwise nonmetric multidimensional scanning method in socioeconomic problems

V. S. Kamenskii

Moscow
Abstract: The paper is devoted to the applications of pairwise nonmetric multidimensional scanning method. Three problems are considered: analysis of factors influencing the structure of management in road-building, choice of indicators to make a classification of factories for computer-aided management system planning, and sample-improvement in sociological research. Through these examples some heuristic tools to interpret the results of pairwise nonmetric multidimensional unfolding method are discussed.
