On automatic matching of flat images. I

G. M. Kubintsev, V. A. Taran

Moscow
Abstract: A functional space model of an image is used to study problems arising in image matching by the correlation method. The problem of selecting a matching criterion requiring no normalization is solved; a method to decompose the image into non-intersecting classes is proposed for the case where a set of images is generated by a reference in its topological deformation.
