Moscow
Abstract: A procedure for development of terms of reference for a design of sophisticated computer-based technology («optimal design») is studied from the methodological point of view with special reference to the soaking pits — sheet rolling mill — control system regarded as one complex. The results are illustrated with examples on choice of the capacity of the soaking pit area and of the control subsystem which insures differentiated metal heating.
