Stochastic Systems

Numerical solution of an identification problem for an equation of the vibrations of a rod

V. K. Saul'ev

Moscow
Abstract: The inverse problem, finding the parameter estimate from measurement results, may be solved in the case of a simple fourth order parabolic equation (rod oscillation equation) by using a difference chess scheme 1. The results may be useful in theory of optimal control for stochastic dynamic systems with distributed parameters.
