Technical Diagnostics

On Diagnosis of Faulty Modeles in Digital Systems by Incomplete Tests

V. A. Vedeshenkov, V. Yu. Kotel'nikov

Moscow
Abstract: The potential of diagnosing faulty modules in digital systems by incomplete tests is studied. Structures of digital systems are proposed which ensure correct (sometimes incomplete) diagnosis on the assumption that for admissible situations with faults only one test may be incomplete. An estimate of the number of real syndromes is given which leads to incomplete diagnosis in systems with the proposed structure. The results of programmed modeling of various system structures are discussed.
