Finite automaton approximation of behaviour of stationary continuous plants

E. K. Kornoushenko

Moscow
Abstract: The paper is concerned with finite automaton approximation of behaviour of linear stationary continuous plants, asymptotically stable with constrained input signals. For the initial continuous plant a finite deterministic automaton can be built to approximate the behaviour of this plant with any desired accuracy. For illustration, the design of an automaton which approximates a second order oscillator with piecewise continuous input signals is discussed.
