Adaptive Systems

On the applicability boundary for an adaptive adjustment algorithm of a digital linear filter

Abstract: In data transmission system the inter-character interference is suppressed by using an adaptive adjustment algorithm for parameters of digital filter with finite memory, or harmonic corrector. An estimate is found for the initial probability of failure at which the algorithm convergence to optimal coefficients of the corrector is disturbed. Examples are given in order to compare the adaptive algorithm and the adjustment algorithm using test signals.
