Stochastic Systems

A service system with a branching flow of secondary customers

M. Yu. Kitaev, V. V. Rykov

Moscow
Abstract: A discipline of the priority type is shown to be optimal with respect to a linear loss functional in a single-line system with a simple primary and a branching secondary flows of customers of several types and an arbitrary service duration. An algorithm for determining the optimal discipline is described.
