Analytical design of structurally constrained controllers

I. M. Bakhilina, D. M. Lerner

Leningrad
Abstract: The problem of parametric design of a linear controller is formulated with specified constraints on the structure. The quadratic performance criterion incorporates penalty functions on a control error in face of random disturbances, on the estimate error, and on feedback gains. Any of these penalty functions can be eliminated from the criterion. A solution method is suggested; many important applied cases are considered; examples are given.
